DJing has always been close to many Maltese people’s hearts, with incredible DJs and raves in Malta going back decades.

But in 2019, there’s a slew of new, young, up-and-coming Maltese DJs that are making some serious noise. From tech-house to trap, r’n’b to disco, here are 11 selectors you need to know about.

1. Debris

Having headlined a residency at Gianpula Main Room and featured on the line-ups of Isle of MTV and Tomorrowland, the sky’s the limit for this young Maltese producer.

2. Pocci

The driving force behind Strictly RNB and a close affiliate of Ziggy, Pocci has been busy behind the scenes making sure the party never ends.

3. Husko

Husko has been making big waves in the tech-house scene, and they can only get bigger.

4. Micimago

A Gozitan DJ and stellar producer, this is one to keep an eye on.

5. Ben and Macelli

Ben and Macelli are quickly becoming the youngest resident disco-dons on the island.

6. Siconix

Malta’s premier trap producer, few local DJs have a music catalogue as extensive, or interesting, as Siconix.

7. ShanJo

After making her debut at London’s Ministry of Sound, ShanJo’s been busy gigging around Ibiza, Malta, and the UK.

8. Noyark

While he doesn’t DJ too often, he has produced a selection of tracks that are eclectic and catchy.

9. Ant

One of the youngest Maltese producers and the mind behind Wicked Events, Ant’s got a way with teenagers that have helped him capitalise on a series of major teen events.

10. Kristeph

From deep underground music to progressive House, Kristeph’s sounds have kept clubbers pumping until the early morning hours.

11. FRMR and Invective

The founders of Black Plague, Malta’s hottest underground hip hop event, these two DJs take a different approach to mixing, with a focus on a top selection ensuring their events always go down well.

12. Isaac Attard

One half of Australian-Maltese duo Where Its ATT, Isaac has been producing some serious bangers while rocking crowds internationally.

BONUS: Knuckles

A young up-and-comer, Knuckles has quickly made a name for himself as resident DJ in Paceville’s hottest clubs, with his mixing of house and hip-hop delivering a signature style.
