There are few music marathons in Malta as fun and important as Talbot & Bons Live Music Marathon. Entering it’s third year, and sponsored by Yobetit.com, the marathon will feature 60 one-hour live performances by some of the most interesting and talented bands and artists on the island.

And even better than the music is the fact that the marathon will be raising money for children who are part of the Salesian Brigade.

With over 180 different musicians performing all types of music and everything from food to fashion to vehicles being covered over the weekend, you know there’s going to be something for everyone at the Music Marathon.

The marathon is famed for being a great place to discover some of the best up and coming bands in Malta, and with Airport Impressions kicking off the weekend at 11am on Friday, the music is sure to be of the highest quality.

And the funds raised will be going towards producing a new Salesian Brigade teaching music booklet as well as going towards the digitising of all of their music scripts for future use.

Another super cool thing about the Music Marathon is the open-mic spots, where anyone can literally just walk on stage and have a go on the microphone, drum kit, keyboard or guitar!

Past years have had some epic open-mic sets, where someone starts jamming and the next thing you know, you’ve got five strangers on stage creating something cool.

You never know when an awesome jamming session is about to happen, but the Music Marathon is the perfect place for it.

And there’s even more – on Sunday morning, an event dedicated to celebrating Vespas and beards will be held alongside the music for all those who love Vespa and beards to join in on the good vibes of the marathon.

Any and all ‘Beard-os’ with a vespa, this one’s for you.

And as if all of this wasn’t even, there will also be a full stocked kitchen open 24 hours a day! You can order a juicy burger at 5am, 5pm – pretty whenever you get off stage…or your vespa.
