Now that we’ve waved goodbye to Strada Stretta, we’ve been left with a huge Strait Street hole in our lives. But it’s okay – a new remedy is available in the form of a repeat performance of The Star of Strait Street – a love story which takes place in Valletta’s famous mecca of nighttime delights.

The musical premiered at The Splendid theatre in Strait Street back in April, and it’s now back in collaboration with the MADC at The Playhouse in Santa Venera on Friday, 26th May 2017, at 7.00pm and 9.00pm.

It tells the true story of Adrian Warburton – daredevil photo-reconnaissance pilot; and Christina Ratcliffe – singer and dancer at ‘The Morning Star’ in Valletta. As with most great stories, it’s about how they fall in love.

The script – written by Philip Glassborow’s – is based on extracts from Christina Ratcliffe’s own writings, and the new book Malta’s Greater Siege and Adrian Warburton DSO* DFC** DFC (USA) by Paul McDonald OBE; with special acknowledgements to Steve Trotter.

The show stars Polly March, Larissa Bonaci and Geoff Thomas.
