Lovers of the world’s most popular disco-pop bands – and Malta’s capital city – are in for a big treat. The biggest ABBA tribute band is coming to Malta to help save Valletta’s skyline… and everyone’s invited.

The multi award-winning tribute band ABBA Revival is set to take the Gianpula stage as they sing, dance, and raise funds to help take care of Malta’s capital city and its gorgeous skyline.

“The Valletta Skyline is a vital component of the beauty that is Malta,” says Kirsten Grenside, one of the organisers. “Here is a chance for the local community – and ABBA fans – to help preserve Malta’s unique history and iconic Skyline. So slap on the blue glitter eyeliner, pull on the bell-bottom jumpsuits and platform boots, and get ready for an unforgettable fun-filled night that promises not only a spectacular show but also helps preserve our Maltese Heritage. How’s that for the ultimate feel-good factor?”

The group will be giving a spectacular 90 minute performance as part of Save Our Skyline’s next charity event

This disco-tastic 90-minute show features no fewer than six costume changes and plenty of fully-choreographed dance routines

Audiences will be able to dance and sing along to ABBA favourites, including Waterloo, Dancing Queen, Mamma Mia and SOS, all on the legendary Gianpula dance floor. On top of that, DJ Ian Lang will keep the vibe going with a pre- and post-concert party as the organisers raise money to restore Valletta’s famous Cathedral.

The concert is timed to coincide not only with Valletta’s year as European Capital of Culture, but also with the upcoming release of two new songs by the original members of ABBA and the Mamma Mia movie prequel.

Abba Revival 2

Recently voted the UK’s Official Number 1 ABBA tribute act, the stage show has already wowed audiences from Europe to the Middle East, as well as in the original band’s homeland of Sweden

The Save Our Skylines concert will not actually be the first visit to Malta for the tribute band.

ABBA Revival had performed an outdoor show during Malta’s Independence Day celebrations in front of 20,000 people, televising to two million more.

Tickets for ‘SOS! ABBA Revival The Tribute’ are available now on www.ticketline.com.mt. The event will take place at Gianpula, Rabat on Friday 9th November 2018, with doors opening 8pm, a set by DJ Ian Lang, the ABBA/Revival show from 9:30pm, and a further post-show set by DJ Ian Lang.
