And The Winner Of The First Ever X Factor Malta Is… Michela!
Michela, a 17-year-old Gozitan with a unique voice, has just been crowned the winner of the very first season of the X Factor Malta, which means she will be represented Malta at this year’s Eurovision in Tel Aviv.
We’ve officially reached the end of the show that has taken over everyone’s Sunday night plans since October 2018. The dramatic finale was pretty lit TBH. And not just because the opening included actual fire in it. After roughly three months of crazy auditions, controversial sing-offs, and emotional performances, it all came to an end with a dramatic ‘Super Sing-Off’ between Owen Leuellen and Michela Pace.
The final and fourth round allowed Owen and Michela to sing a song that they felt showed off their abilities best. Owen performed one of his own original songs, and Michela sang Shallow from A Star Is Born – a song she had previously performed on the show, and definitely shows off her vocal ability.
After X Factor UK winner Dalton Harris performed, the winner was announced
And the whole country held their breath as they waited for the announcement to be made. And after a painful thirty-second long dramatic pause, Michela was officially crowned winner!
