A Hi-Tech Hotel Just Opened In Sliema And It’s Fancy As Hell
Ladies and gents, we would like to introduce to you Hotel 1926, which just opened its door a couple of weeks ago in the city centre of Sliema… and it’s nothing short of impressive!
First of all, we’ll just start by saying that it boasts some surreal and scenic views of Valletta.
But now, let’s talk about:
1. The rooms
There are three type of rooms to choose from; Classic, Superior and Premium. What all these rooms share in common are the chic modern decor with roaring 1920s vibes, top-quality Frette linen and state of the art technology.
They also all have facilities such as single, twin or double bed options, an open wardrobe, a mini fridge, a coffee machine, a smart TV, a hairdryer, a room tablet and luxury products by local perfumer Stephen Cordina.
The superior rooms offer more space than the classic rooms and the premium rooms are on higher floors boasting exceptional views.
2. The Spa
The state-of-the-art spa focuses on wellness, fitness and beauty (in addition to classic spa treatments).
It includes an aquatonic pool, sauna, hammam, tepidarium, treatment rooms, and a fitness area. All of their spa therapists receive training from Resense – a Swiss company who shape luxury spas according to their local environment to create bespoke spas and spa menus.
3. Sustainability
The guys over at Hotel 1926 are really big on being eco-friendly, and this reflects in all areas of the hotel.
Each room has energy management which automatically turn off ACs or lights that are accidentally left on when guests leave the room.
The bathrooms possess refillable shampoo/conditioner/hand soap bottles in order to reduce the constant use of plastic bottles. Guests have the option to have their towels changed on alternating days.
Also, there are no plastic key cards; access to rooms is via PIN codes which can be given to you ahead of your stay.
4. The food and drink offering
Hotel 1926 has a restaurant called Margaux offering modern European cuisine.
Dishes on the menu include delights such as pot au feu (traditional French beef broth), lobster ravioli, French goat cheese risotto, different kinds of pissaladiere, bouillabaisse, coq au vin and more!
Their grand bar (Sunny’s Lounge) offers premium champagne, cocktails, wine and beer which can be served alongside their all-day bites menu.
Live music sessions occur most nights and showcase the greatest music from breakthrough artists as well as recognized performers.
