It’s Official! These Are The Categories For The 2021 Lovin Malta Social Media Awards
Ready your TikTok filters and press pause on your favourite podcast: the Lovin Malta Social Media Awards are hitting your feeds once again and we have the first of many reveals sliding its way into your DMs.
Last year’s awards saw over 118,000 public votes being cast covering TikTokers, NGOs, TV and radio hosts, and so much more, and we can’t wait to have our followers old and new join us for the third edition of this online celebration of local talent, creativity and innovation.
So drumroll please – ahead of the opening of the 2021 Lovin Malta SMAs Nominations, here are this year’s 20 categories:
2021 categories as follows: Lifetime Achievement Award, Best NGO/Cause/Community, Best Business Innovation, Best Artist/Illustrator, Best Green Initiative, Best Instagrammer, Best Eatery, Best Overall Content Creator, Best In Fashion, Best Foodporn, Best Podcast, Best Music Video, Best Pet, Best TikToker, Best Videographer/Photographer, Best Fitness, Best Sportsperson, Best TV/Radio Host, Best Use of Satire, and Most Inspirational Person
As you can probably tell, this year’s SMAs includes brand new categories to further celebrate the movers and shakers in Malta in a year that turned the whole world upside down. Nominations will soon be open so we need you all to be a little bit more patient – and be sure to expect more reveals throughout the entire Nomination and Voting periods.
This year’s winners will join previous recipients of the Lovin Malta SMAs including: Adrian Zammit for Best Influencer (2020), Valentina Rossi for Best Instagrammer (2020), the late great Titi the Diving Dog for Best Pet (2019), Kris Micallef for Best Photographer (2019 & 2020), and of course, the unstoppable Jake Vella for Most Inspiring Person/Community (2019).
