Emma’s Kitchen will next week host the third and final instalment of the TEDxUniversityofMalta discussions, which have been supported by Lovin Malta in the run up to the annual TedX conference to be held next month.

The next mini event will be held on Wednesday 22nd March at 6pm and will feature two main speakers, Sofia Mifsud and Maria Theuma, who will both be tackling different aspects of feminism.

Only 30 places are available. Tickets can be bought online for €7 and will cover some nibbles and hot drinks courtesy of Emma’s Kitchen.

Sofia Mifsud is studying “and hoping” to be a good filmmaker and an even better writer. She is passionate about all things literature and feminism related, and generally takes any opportunity she can to discuss said topics, both on and off the internet.

Maria Theuma is a writer, spoken word poet, and installation artist. She is currently reading for a PhD in English, researching the field of posthumanism, with particular focus on the relation between posthuman feminism and aesthetics. Her other areas of academic interest include postfeminism and pop culture studies.
