When you’re cruising along Malta’s roads, there’s a pretty big chance you’re going to spot a Toyota within a few seconds of starting your car as the company was confirmed as Malta’s best selling automotive brand for the sixth year running.

“We are very proud of this result, and we take the trust placed in us very seriously. While this serves as a source of motivation and validation of our commitment to excellence, we remain dedicated to upholding the standards that have earned us this trust,” Debono Group’s Director of Sales Graziella Van Coillie commented.

Toyota registered a remarkable year-on-year increase of 22% in its sales while also improving its market share.

Among the vehicles sold in Malta in 2023, the models Toyota Aygo X, Toyota Yaris and Toyota Yaris Cross were the clear favourites.

Meanwhile, the company also registered its best sales performance yet in Europe being confirmed as the second best-selling passenger car brand in Europe for the third year running and the best-selling automaker at global level for the fourth year in a row.
