Indie-Folk Hero José González Coming To Malta To Give You All The Chill Nostalgic Feels

'A solo show featuring one of the most brilliant songwriters of our time'

José González, the folk singer-songwriter behind classic chill hits like 'Heartbeats' and 'Stay Alive', is coming to Malta for an intimate show at City Theatre in July.

Brought over by Malta's Tao Productions, folk-lovers and guitar enthusiasts should not miss out on González' debut performance on the islands. Supporting acts haven't been announced yet, but the night is set to be a special one for fans of all things folk.

The performance is being billed as a "solo show featuring one of the most brilliant songwriters of our time".

Many fans will remember González' hit single Heartbeats, which was the soundtrack to many a youth's endless summer.

José González is a Swedish-Argentinian indie folk singer-songwriter and guitarist from Gothenburg, Sweden. His trademark sound is a simple solo classical guitar coupled with soft vocal melodies. He is known for writing hauntingly beautiful music and since he released his first album, Veneer, he has been touring the world playing festivals and selling out theatres.

With three albums under his belt, a Best New Artist Swedish Grammy and several appearances on various prime time TV shows, José has been taking this music segment by storm. Since the mid 2000's, González's music has been used to create some of the greatest music moments on television, including 'The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty' featuring Ben Stiller and many more.
