The set times for the biggest names at the Mediterranean Stars Festival, powered by Radio Italia, happening this Friday at the Fosos have been revealed.

Mahmood, one of the most highly anticipated acts, will be hitting the stage at 8 pm, following Alessandra Amoroso at 7:30 pm.

However, the party starts a couple of hours earlier, at 6 pm, when Valletta favourite Owen Leuellen will be dropping some hip hop beats. Following Owen, Red Electrick will be rocking out at 6:15, before X Factor favourite Nicole Frendo lets out those powerhouse vocals.

The 90-piece Mediterranean Orchestra, directed by Bruno Santori, will also be in attendance throughout the music festival, and with a line up like this, it’s probably best to show up early and grab yourself and your friends a spot.

Special bus services will also be offered on the night for music fans to attend and get back home safely.

The lineup for the evening includes Alessandra Amoroso, Gigi D’Alessio, Elisa, Francesco Gabbani, Gue Pequeno, J-Az, Max Pezzali, Raf, Umberto Tozzi and Mahmood.

The co-founder and secretary general of the Mediterranean Tourism Foundation, Andrew Agius Muscat, said that the “Mediterranean Stars Festival stems from the desire to use music as a tool to bring people together, to promote peace and to strengthen a common Mediterranean identity. It is undeniable that music is a universal language, a powerful means that unites peoples.”

This is the third edition of Radio Italia Live’s Il Concerto (which forms part of the Mediterranean Stars Festival), with the previous couple of editions going down in Milan and Palermo. This first Maltese iteration will see doors open at 6 pm at Floriana’s Fosos.
