What with him being a celebrity chef on the verge of opening a new eatery and having a one-year-old boy waiting for him at home (not to mention Ira Losco), Sean Gravina definitely leads a very busy life. No matter how much he’s got going on, however, he’s not going to let it stop him from spreading some Christmas cheer.

For the third consecutive year, Sean Gravina’s Christmas project, co-organised by Anthony Mamo, is coming back to Mater Dei. This will see the celebrity chef giving out sweet treats, cakes and cupcakes to all the children who are spending their holidays at the hospital. Not to mention some healthy bites and a couple of gifts! This year, Gravina and his team are going even bigger than previous years.

On the 20th of December, an open-top bus will be stopping off at Mater Dei, along with other locations to be announced later. Gravina’s very own modern sleigh, the bus will be handing out gifts, cupcakes and treats to the children in the Rainbow Ward and other institutions. 

Celebrities are also set to help out in the event, and a number of companies have already pledged their support in kind or through donations.

Here’s how you can help out!

The team need your help to raise the children’s spirits. For this they will need:

• Animators – ideally in costume, ready to spend a day making kids forget everything but the fact that it’s Christmas!
• Children’s gifts – anything that you think will put a smile on a child’s face. Toys, books, games, you name it. 
• Causes – the team is also encouraging people to get in touch and nominate causes that are in need of some assistances
