Cirque Du Soleil Is Coming To Malta To Stun Us All With Its Insane Acrobatic Stunts
Attention, Malta! The Cirque du Soleil, the largest and arguably the most famous theatrical production companies in the world, will be performing in Valletta this year, and the next two years.
The Cirque du Soleil is renowned worldwide for its circus-themed performances, which include ridiculously flexible contortionists and death-defying acrobatic stunts, and has performed all across the world.
We’ll let these videos speak for themselves:
Tourism Minister Konrad Mizzi announced last night that it will make its Malta debut towards the end of the year, serving up six weeks of performances at the Mediterranean Conference Centre in Valletta. They have also been penned in to perform here in 2020 and 2021, meaning this could well become a regular feature in the Maltese calendar of events.
“This is part of the Prime Minister’s vision to turn Malta into a centre for world-class events,” Mizzi said, when announcing the Cirque du Soleil’s performances at a ceremony at the MCC last night.
On the 40th anniversary of #MedConfCentre, together with PM @JosephMuscat_JM we officially announce that @cirque will be holding theatre shows in #Malta, as of this year. @MaltaGov’s vision is to attract quality events.
