Ever thought about the different ways one can look at and appreciate art and culture? Everyone has a unique point of view, especially the children of Malta. Picking their brain and discussing what they would like to see in the future is what this event was all about.

An open conversation organised by the Ministry for National Heritage, the Arts and Local Government, saw a number of students aged between 9 and 13 years sharing their thoughts, opinions and musings with Minister Owen Bonnici.

Aimed at gathering their unique ideas and suggestions, the discussion also centred around what students want to see when it comes to culture.

The students mentioned that they’d like to see Maltese cultural traditions highlighted more, as well as wanting to keep the conversation going when it comes to the various aspects of the cultural sector.

Minister Bonnici added that appreciating and advocating for children’s perspectives was a crucial opportunity to create tomorrow’s arts and culture scene, and vouched to continue listening to children’s ideas.
