British Artist Called ‘Queen Of The Pen’ Inspired By Maltese Landscapes

Article Featured Image

London-based artist Olivia Kemp is a master of the pen, and her impressive work has earned her tens of thousands of followers on Instagram. Describing herself as a ‘builder of worlds’, Kemp interprets the sites she visits in her own unique style.

And it seems her recent vacation in Malta has certainly inspired her with some interesting new landscapes.

Having already drawn Mdina’s gate, the Ottoman cemetery in Marsa and Għajn Tuffieħa’s watchtower, the island’s panoramas have left their mark.

Arriving last Saturday, Kemp was clearly excited to visit Malta, taking to social media to post photos of her previous adventures abroad, which she captioned with: “Travel day! I get so much from exploring different places and making work.”

It seems she’s also finding time in between work to just enjoy the sites, taking to the beach to soak up the sun…ish and enjoy our beautiful blue beaches.
