Exhibition Envy: Four Malta Shows To Get Your Art Fix This Weekend

The weekend is here. Between all the binge-drinker benders in your plans, try to head to an art exhibition – Malta’s scene is constantly buzzing with new shows.

Here are four shows to check out this weekend to get that art fix.

1. The Archive – MSA Members’ Exhibition 2023

Wonder around the gorgeous Malta Society of Arts, and check out this is a fine art collective exhibition in the heart of Valletta.

Showcasing more than 50 artists, this forms part of the centenary anniversary of the Society at Palazzo de La Salle.

2. THE INFINITE LABYRINTH

Il-Kamra Ta’ Fuq is at it again, this time with a solo show of Sarah Maria Scicluna. The work explores the intricacies of our “desires, aspirations, and the often elusive nature of our dreams by creating complex structures constructed from thousands of lines.

Not to be missed if you’re in the South.

3. JA, JA, JA!

Zvezdan Reljic’s solo exhibition is coming to a close, be sure to catch it in Sliema before it does. On Monday and Tuesday, R Gallery also concocted two great events of poetry and electronic music to bid goodbye to the striking printed world of Reljic.

4. NOUS

MUZA’s latest exhibition is NOUS, a solo retrospective show by Joseph Farrugia that I’m looking forward to seeing. It just opened so check it out.
