Love fur? Then this one’s definitely for you. For their final projects for the 2018 Blitz Residency Programme, the people at Blitz are proud to announce Otto Krause and Milan Loviška as their residents.

The duo will take their new and exciting project Furrious, underwater, employing the artistic process of furrification to a new level.

Anthropomorphic faux fur and plush costumes from the Furry Fandom subculture will be presented in a super aesthetically pleasing manner… and they’ll also be taking over Maltese waters.

The Viennese artists have presented their work allover the world, from Singapore to Hong Kong, the Gibanica Biennale for Slovenian Contemporary Dance Ljubljana, Kunstraum Niederösterreich, WUK and the Brut and Tanzquartier in Vienna.

Loviška and Krause will be employing their artistic skills to explore political undertones and to trivialise serious matters. They will be stimulating relationships between performers and audiences, questioning established modes of perception.

The results are a visually pleasing combination of psychology, science and pop culture.

A final presentation of their work will be screening at Blitz on the 1st of November along with a talk by the artists.
