Losing Vision In Her Right Eye Did Not Stop This Maltese Artist From Working On Her Debut Exhibition
Losing vision is a distressing and disheartening experience, but one Maltese artist has not let it get in the way of her creative output. In fact, she’s now ready to debut her very first exhibition.
Inspired and motivated by the life-changing experience, Roberta Zammit Cutajar will be presenting her debut exhibition Through My Eye at the Chamber of Commerce in Valletta starting from tomorrow.
The aim of the exhibition is to shed light on an organisation which Roberta holds close to her heart — Opening Doors Malta. Parts of the proceeds will in fact be going towards this charity.
Opening Doors gives individuals with intellectual disabilities the opportunity to learn and pursue their talents in music, dance and drama.
Roberta has witnessed first-hand the amazing experiences this organisation has to offer through her own son’s experience while attending their classes.
Roberta’s artistic aspirations were put on hold until a few years ago, however she has previously taken part in numerous collective exhibitions.
Through My Eye will feature Roberta’s latest works, all in oil on canvas. It will be open to the public from tomorrow till the 30th of November.
