“When my agent called me in London to announce the offer that had just come in, I was in utter disbelief,” Luke told Lovin Malta. “Months of hard work and focus had finally paid off with this fantastic job! Excitement doesn’t quite give justice to the way I currently feel about this.”

Rehearsals for Luke and his co-starts will be taking place in Miami (not our Miami, the other one) and will last for two months, while the show will start running from the 21st of July and will keep going till the 21st of April 2019.

“I thought it’s definitely unachievable with it’s constant competitions and hardships, but I was determined and I guess that’s why I stand here, celebrating this role.” Luke told Lovin Malta.

Luke has been acting for almost all his life, he was pushed and supported by his Drama tutor Lucienne Camilleri at the De La Salle College, and later on he took up lessons for Classical Ballet and Dance Training at the Alison White Dance Studio. Luke also studied at the Margaret Howard Theatre College under the supervision of Kevin Fountain, who has shown endless support to Luke even after leaving college.

Luke’s first ever public performance took place when he was still at De La Salle, however bigger and more prolific roles started coming his way once he moved to London. He even had the lead in a short film from the London Film Academy called ‘Meditation’.

“At the age of 18 I decided to leave my Accountancy job in Malta to pursue my dream and headed off to study Musical Theatre at the Margaret Howard Theatre College.” he said. Acting has been Luke’s passion ever since he was a child.

“Life at Sea is not easy, being away from family and home will be hard. However, this will be my third adventure at sea, so I will once again embrace this opportunity and make the most of it”

“Life at Sea is not easy, being away from family and home will be hard. However, this will be my third adventure at sea, so I will once again embrace this opportunity and make the most of it,” Luke said “Anyway, I’ll get to enjoy the Caribbean Beaches for  nine months, I’m really ok with that.” Luke also recently starred in a Durex Commercial.

Luke also played the role of ‘Little Nick’ in the immersive theatre show ‘How to Solve a Problem Like Murder’ by Uncorked Theatre which took the city by storm since 2016.

“This role will surely be challenging, like anything else in the industry. But that’s what makes it so desirable,” he said “I like challenges, hence why I now run my own personal training brand to help others achieve goals and rise up to their daily challenges.”
