Singer Luke Chappell To Debut Play ‘A Better Life’ This June

X Factor veteran Luke Chappell seems to be branching out into the acting world, as he is set to star in his own play “A Better Life,” written by himself and directed by Tyrone Grima.
“Proud to announce that my first written script will be performed this summer,” the singer announced on social media.
The story is a heart-wrenching trial for the protagonist Theo, who battles with the loss of a brother while suffering from an addiction to drugs, specifically methamphetamine and cocaine. Not only are these the two drugs that are mainly abused on an international level, but they have also been plaguing our islands for years.
The production team explained the importance of the play in shedding light on these issues, adding that towards the end of the play, there is a “hopeful light, inspired by the themes of spirituality and youth.”
The show opens on 14th June 2024, at 8:30 pm at the Jesuit’s Church in Valletta, and will run for three nights, up until 16th June.
