The Sound Of You Dreaming: Solo Exhibition By Ceramicist Paul Scerri
Attention art enthusiasts! Looking for your next exhibition to visit? Well, look no further!
The Sound of You Dreaming is a solo exhibition by ceramicist Paul Scerri, taking place at Spazju Kreattiv in Valletta.
“Dreams are a rupture in the process of understanding the world because they contradict everyday notions of time and space, but at the same time they also contain strange and deep truths, both personal and collective.”
Scerri works through these ideas in his exhibition using his stylised visual language which “poeticises the contradictions that guide the unfolding of human relationships, rendering them in an artistic language born from over 40 years of working with ceramic.”
The exhibition opened on Friday 17th January and will run through till 9th March.
Curated by Gabriel Zammit, with associate curator Andrew Borg Wirth, get ready to enter a dreamlike state as you walk through the exhibition space.
This exhibition also features creative collaborations with Konrad Buhagiar, Matyou Galea, Kris Polidano, Maria Theuma and Sam Vassallo.
There will also be a number of free supporting events happening throughout the time the exhibition is running including a screening of Max Richter’s ‘Sleep’ on 12th February, and a finissage on 9th March.
