The Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow: Annie The Musical Set To Light Up The MCC Stage
The beloved red-headed optimist Annie takes over the Mediterranean Conference Centre this season under the direction of Chiara Hyzler, running from Friday 31st October to Sunday 2nd November.
With musical direction by Kris Spiteri, FM Theatre Productions brings one of the most heartwarming and iconic musicals of all time to life. A story of hope, courage and the power of believing in a better tomorrow.
Set in 1930s New York City during the Great Depression, Annie follows the journey of a brave young orphan who dreams of finding her parents and a home of her own. When billionaire Oliver Warbucks invites her to spend Christmas at his mansion, their worlds collide in unexpected ways proving that family can be found in the most unlikely of places.
This production introduces two bright young performers, Yelena Brincat and Faith Vella Gregory, who share the titular role of Annie. They are joined by Denise Mulholland as the unforgettable Miss Hannigan, Cliff Zammit Stevens as Oliver Warbucks and an exceptional supporting cast featuring Gabrielle Sargeant, Raphael Pace, Tessa May Attrill and Edward Mercieca.
Featuring timeless favourites including “It’s the Hard Knock Life,” “Tomorrow” and “You’re Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile,” Annie: The Musical promises a dazzling mix of laughter, emotion and classic Broadway spectacle. With a cast of talented young performers sharing the stage alongside some of Malta’s most seasoned theatre artists, this production is set to deliver an unforgettable, feel-good experience for audiences of all ages.
Whether you’re revisiting this timeless classic or discovering it for the first time, Annie: The Musical is a heartwarming reminder that no matter how dark the night, the sun will always come out tomorrow.
