This Maltese Ceramicist Makes The Most Gorgeous Tableware Ever And We Want All Of It
We’re always so excited when we discover talented Maltese artisans that are kicking some artful ass and taking names all around the world. Our latest scope, Maltese ceramicist Tiziana Schembri, whose brand is known as Ceramics by Tiz, is a welcome addition to our list of joyful discoveries.
Having worked with clay since the age of 11, and after attending classes under the tutorship of Maltese artist Anna Ciavola, Tiz has forged her career as a mainly self-taught ceramic artist who is now based in Tallinn. She works at a studio in Tondi where she produces tableware for restaurants and cafes, as well as homeware items which are sold in a few stores. We’re all about the gorgeous bold prints, bulbous shapes and elemental tones she uses in her works.
Here’s a bunch of her products we would like to have adorn our own dining room tables. Like, now please.
1. Floral Imprints
2. Rustic Rim
3. White and Blue
4. Freckled Pouring Bowls
5. Neutral Plate
6. Graphic Shaving Bowl
7. Blue Clay Dishes
8. Green Jar with Lid
