Unreal! This Hyper-Realist Artist Living In Malta Will Blow Your Mind With Her Detailed Portraits

From surrealist and conceptual to faithful reproductions of real life, art has taken countless forms and genres throughout the centuries. But one artist living in Malta is pushing the limits of hyper-realism to some intensely impressive extents.
You might not realise it at first, but the images Jennifer Falkenstein has been sharing on social media in the past year are not photos.
The Austrian artist took to Instagram last August to present her art online “after deciding to become an artist just a few years back”. But if this is what a few years worth of practice looks like, we already can’t wait to see what’s next.
The painstaking detail in Jennifer’s work has left many of her followers not only absolutely dumbfounded but in sheer disbelief.

“The feelings that I feel when I create hyper-realism art are almost impossible for me to convey.”
Opening up in her first post back in August 2020, Jennifer said this particular style of painting has resonated with her over the years… and it’s very easy to see how well she’s managed to do in this field.
“It is like a constant stream of inspiration and euphoria,” she said excitedly.
And while all of Jennifer’s shared works are impressive, it’s her latest finished work – and painstaking details from it – that have been making the waves online.
Initially shared all the way back in August 2020, the work, called ‘Innocence’, took Jennifer several months to complete… and was only shared last month.
“After working on it for several months, a lot more details have been added,” she explained back in January during a video where she zoomed in on some of the more intricate details of her work of oil on canvas. And it didn’t take long for people to notice the impeccable work, with thousands of views and reactions coming in to marvel at Jennifer’s work and congratulate her on the mindblowing creation.
Let’s hope this is just the beginning for Jennifer Falkenstein and her work in Malta!
