Watch: Maltese Artists Sasha Vella And Mario Abela Selected For Venice Art Exhibition Amid 4,000+ Applicants
Out of 4,013 artists from 104 countries, Maltese artists Sasha Vella and Mario Abela have secured two of just 41 spots in CREA OPEN 2024, an international art exhibition happening in Venice next month.
Sasha shared the exciting news in a reel, revealing that one of her film photographs from her last solo trip will be showcased in the exhibition, alongside Mario Abela’s work.
“One of my film photographs from my last solo trip has just won a position in an international exhibition happening next month in Venice,” she said.
The exhibition will be opening on 12th April and will run until 27th April at Crea Cantieri del Contemporaneo Venice, bringing together 41 different contemporary artists from all over the world.
With thousands of submissions, being selected for CREA OPEN 2024 is a major achievement for both artists, with young artist Sasha having her first opportunity on the international art stage.
