ŻiguŻajg Arts Festival 2023: A Landmark For Young Art Enthusiasts

The capital city of Valletta is gearing up for yet another round of art, drama, music, and more, with the return of the ŻiguŻajg Arts Festival for Children and Young People. Now in its 13th edition, the festival promises to be a true spectacle from 10th to 19th November.
Minister for the Arts Owen Bonnici aptly captures the spirit of ŻiguŻajg when he highlights the irreplaceable role of the arts in children’s lives. The arts play a transformative role, allowing children and young adults to express themselves through diverse mediums like dance, drama, and music.
It not only offers a platform for artistic exploration but also nurtures creativity.

Chairman of Fondazzjoni Kreattività Rupert Cefai stresses that ŻiguŻajg serves a higher purpose. It becomes a source of enlightenment and inspiration. For Cefai, the festival is not just a seasonal event but a medium to inspire future generations to either take up the mantle of performance or to deeply appreciate art as a part of the audience.
Marta Vella, the Festival Director, reinforces this message of inspiration and passion for the arts. Since its commencement in 2011, the festival has consistently impacted young lives. Vella believes that the festival’s central aim is to create memorable experiences and foster a genuine love for the arts in children and young adults.
With all said, ŻiguŻajg Arts Festival promises to be more than just a series of performances. It aspires to be a movement that changes the way young individuals perceive and interact with art.
It’s not just about the few days in November; it’s about leaving an indelible mark on young hearts and minds, a spark that might very well light up their artistic journey for years to come.
For those who wish to be a part of this grand celebration of arts, tickets and updates are available on the official website – www.ziguzajg.org.
