Sliema’s High Street is in for a treat tomorrow as local establishments have all teamed up to offer a night of entertainment and discussion at A Bisazza Summer Night.

Organised by locals for locals, retailers have grouped together to create ‘The Bisazza Street Culture’ – a brand new concept focused on providing everyone with a desirable and safe shopping and leisure experience.

Bisazza Street is a pedestrianised area located in the heart of Sliema’s shopping district and has been popular with holidaymakers and Maltese alike, with views overlooking Manoel Island towards Valletta’s west facades.

Being a pedestrianised area, the high street is popular with families due to the low-accessibility for cars and other vehicles, and is a well-known gathering spot for groups of friends.

The Bisazza Street Culture group aims to phase their events into the social calendar, beginning with A Bisazza Summer Night. The event will kick off at 4pm and play host to an array of activities such as live music, dance and other forms of street entertainment.

The group’s objective is to ensure a constant cheery atmosphere in the area, and what better way to inject ‘a good air’ into a place than with living, breathing, plants? That’s right; Sliema’s residents will be making sure their beloved seaside town doesn’t maintain an ambiance of non-stop construction by hiding the majority of the crane bases in the area with plant pots.

As well as generating a higher sense of community in the area, the group hopes the events will help build bigger and better relationships, while also creating an enjoyable experience for all in attendance.

Bisazza Street Culture are always on the lookout for fresh collaborators and participants, and those interested can drop an email to [email protected] and with events planned right through to 2020, this is sure to be an opportunity you won’t want to miss.
