Maltese hip-hop artist Chris Birdd was recently seen with Mike Tyson whilst in Los Angeles. Lovin Malta can reveal Birdd, 30, was working with the legendary boxer as a lead sound engineer on a new commercial for a range of weed edibles called ‘Holy Ears’.

Holy Ears is in reference to a notorious 1997 fight, where Mike Tyson infamously bit off a part of Evander Holyfield’s ear.

Tyson originally launched the product as ‘Mike Bites’ before asking for Holyfield’s involvement.

Holyfield added: “They said it’s about helping people. So I said, ‘I ain’t got no problem helping people.’ I didn’t know if it was something that I had to act like I was smoking reefer. I realised it is for helping somebody else.”

“So the fact that [it was] something that helped somebody else, I was fine with that.”

Chris Birdd, 30, is taking the US by storm, having recently hit number one on the iTunes charts with his latest release, hittin different. Birdd was the lead sound engineer on the production, which has since gone viral across the US and further afield.

Tyson and his team got Chris involved due to his wealth of experience and deep understanding of sound engineering. The award-winning artist stated “I’ve always written, produced and edited my own music, so to work on a world-class production with some of the most famous faces in the world of boxing was surreal”.
