Five-year-old Nael Aquilina went viral earlier this week when a video of him reacting to a cheeky birthday present prank stole the hearts of thousands around the world. Now, the little Maltese Juventus fan is about to get an opportunity of a lifetime, and it’s all thanks to other Maltese people who are just as passionate about his favourite club.

Nael will be flown to Turin to watch Juventus in action thanks to an all-expenses paid trip for him and his family. The whole thing was made possible by the sponsorship of the Juventus Club Malta ‘Cuore Bianconero’, who will also be paying for the accommodation in a nearby hotel. 

JuventusMalta.com was the very first site to publish Nael’s reaction video, and within a couple of hours, it was showing up everywhere. The original video now has nearly 60,000 views, but has been reuploaded countless times, being viewed by millions of people in less than a week and even making it to BBC News.

The supporters’ website explained how Nael and his family will be swinging by the club next week to receive the gift, along with other small tokens of appreciation. Nael was always announced as an honorary member of the Maltese Juventus fan club. 

“The Committee felt they had the duty to as reward Nael for genuineness, sincerity and his love towards Juventus,” the website said of the club’s decision.
