Maltese singer Emma Muscat will arrive back home in Malta tomorrow evening at 6pm, Lovin Malta can confirm.
Emma, 17, has been participating in the Italian talent show Amici for the past six months, but was cruelly eliminated in the semi-final last weekend. However, she has earned herself a contract with Warner Music Italy as well as a massive fanbase – both in Italy and in Malta. Crowds of Italian youths queued up to meet her and take a photo with her at an event in Padua yesterday, and large crowds are similarly expected at the Malta International Airport tomorrow evening to welcome Emma home.
Emma has said she sees herself producing music both in Italy and in Malta in the future.
““Now I’ll return to Malta, to my friends, my dog, my mum’s food – I’ve missed it so much!” she said yesterday. “And the sea, the sand… Obviously I want to make music [in Italy], but also in Malta, because Malta is in my heart. I wanted to win this programme because it would be an honour for me.”
