Gaia Cauchi’s X Factor journey may have ended prematurely but she was all smiles last night as she watched the finale of the British talent show along with her new boyfriend, who she just happened to meet on the show.

Jon Guelas uploaded a cute video to Instagram of the Maltese starlet reclining on his shoulder in the stands of Wembley Stadium and, for good measure, a romantic caption: “What’s the better view? ;”

Gaia and Jon first met in Los Angeles while they were being treated by judge Robbie Williams as part of the Judges’ Houses stage of the competition. While Gaia and her group Sweet Sense were sent home, Jon and his boy band United Vibe qualified to the live shows, where they survived for three weeks.

However, their relationship flourished, with Jon recently jetting down to Malta to surprise Gaia for her Sweet Sixteenth and the two lovers joining forces to cover a romantic One Direction song.
