IN PHOTOS: Malta’s Very Own Emma Muscat And Christabelle Rock The Isle Of MTV Stage
Isle of MTV’s spectacular show last night featured some incredible performances by Maltese talent, with DJ sets from the likes of Alvin Gee, Debris, Tony Tony, and Clint Bajada hyping up the crowd before the main event which featured Jason Derulo and Paloma Faith.
But it was Malta’s very own Emma Muscat and Christabelle that the Floriana crowd really went wild for, having seen them on TV and performing abroad for months.
Emma Muscat treated the hungry crowd to a live taste of her vocal abilities
The TV favourite took to the stage confidently for her first performance after leaving the Italian show Amici. With her energetic backup dancers supporting her, she led the crowd to sing and dance throughout her performance, with a high standard in both her songs as well as her dancers.
Emma performed two original tracks from her upcoming album Moments – ‘Alone’ and ‘I Need Somebody’, which will both be on her debut album on the 6th of July. She also perfomed Coldplay’s inspirational track A Sky Full Of Stars which she had previously belted out on Amici.
She’ll be returning to the Fosos with Joseph Calleja and Eros Ramazzotti on the 21st of July.

Christabelle slayed with a new version of Taboo
She performed a remix of Taboo that went down well with the crowd and hints at the new direction she’ll be taking. She got the whole Fosos to sing along with her during Taboo, and the crowd showed their love for Malta’s most recent Eurovision representative.
Christabelle also replaced her usual black flag with the rainbow LGBTQI flag, proudly waving it in front of the roaring crowd.
