Liam Payne Memorial Will Be Held In Valletta
A memorial for the late singer and former One Direction band member Liam Payne will be held next week in Valletta.
The event will be held on 26th and 27th October at 6pm near the Triton Fountain.
“We will honour the memory of Liam Payne,” the event description reads.
Payne tragically fell to his death on Wednesday from a balcony of a Buenos Aires hotel. His death shocked the world with dozens of celebrities taking to social media to express their devastation, including all of his former bandmates who described him as their “brother”.
His love for making people happy through music was brought up time and time again as people mourned the late pop star.
Payne had been struggling with substance abuse issues and Argentinian authorities said signs of drug and alcohol consumption were found in his hotel room.
Prior to his death, authorities responded to a call from hotel staff notifying police of an “aggressive man” who could have been under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
The hotel manager said he then heard a loud noise at the back of the hotel, and when police arrived they found that a man had fallen over the balcony in his room.
