Maltese supermodel Christine Pillow is dating Rami Jaffee, keyboardist of Foo Fighters, one of the most popular rock bands of the last couple of decades.
Originally a sales assistant from San Ġwann, Christine Pillow had won the Maltese Ford Supermodel of the World Award back in 2005, which had seen the then 18-year-old fly to New York to compete for a $250,000 modelling contract. One year later, Pillow also became the face of Diet Coke. A decade down the line and hundreds of photoshoots later, it seems like Pillow has found her celebrity match. The two met back in 2014, and have been dating ever since.
As you might expect, Pillow’s life sees her flying from one country to the other. Her Instagram feed constantly shifts from the likes of the Eiffel Tower and San Franciso’s Golden Gate Bridge to sunsets in Thailand and the Seychelles, all within a couple of photos. She’s also got some backstage clips of Foo Fighters, with legendary rockstar Dave Grohl casually coming in and out of shot.
The couple were spotted in Helsinki this summer after a Foo Fighters concert, sparking Finnish tabloids to send their paparazzi to hunt down the Maltese supermodel and the American rockstar.
A couple of days later, Foo Fighters founder and former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl addressed several topics about the band’s future, also taking the time to clear the air about Rami’s status as the sixth member of their lineup. “He’s such a big part of the band too. He’s amazing, if you’ve ever hung out with him, he’s the sweetest guy in the world. He’s one of the most talented people I’ve ever met. In my eyes, he’s been in for 14 years or something.”

Even though the jet-setting celebrity life is clearly a busy one, London-based Pillow still finds the time to make her way back to Malta every now and then. Her Instagram feed is dotted with popular Maltese beaches, and she had even posted a photo remembering the Azure Window when the natural icon had collapsed earlier this year.
Here’s hoping Pillow manages to convince Foo Fighters to swing down to Malta for a quick performance.
