New Photo Of Lindsay Lohan Hints At A Secret Recent Visit To Malta

Article Featured Image

American childhood-star-turned-activist Lindsay Lohan has had a very turbulent couple of years. The actress has been constantly travelling to Europe, be it for vacations in Greece to working on the new British TV series Sick Note. Eagle-eyed followers of Lohan on Instagram, however, might’ve uncovered a new place she secretly dropped by… Malta.

In a photo uploaded on 29th October, Lohan posed with her “second family”; the Husseins. The American actress has been visiting the Syrian refugee family living in Istanbul for over a year now, and she had said she was touched by their tragic experience and felt the need to see and help them (and others in a similar situation) regularly. Lohan had said she was particularly moved by nine-year-old Heya.

During her latest visit and stay with the Huseein family, Lohan can be seen repping a red cap with the unmistakable eight-pointed cross that’s so synonymous with the Maltese Islands. Stitched on the brim are the words Malta (or is it Merħba?).

With more than 6,000,000 followers, each and every one of Lohan’s photos not only get tens of thousands of likes, but also just as many comments. On this particular photo, an online war was waged on Lohan’s recent and sudden shift in character, culture, religion… and even accent. A couple of people, however, clocked the cap, commenting on how it was the Maltese cross and wondering whether the popular actress had previously made her way to the islands for a secret getaway.

Others made slightly different assumptions, connecting the cap to the Hussein family instead. After all, it could have very well ended up in Lohan’s wardrobe after Heya (who would’ve received it as a donation) gave it to her as a souvenir.

Whatever it is, this photo definitely takes the cake for the weirdest Malta cameo of the week.
