The girls at Sliema’s St Joseph’s School were treated to a sweet Carnival surprise when X Factor Malta runner-up and up-and-coming rapper Owen Leuellen took to the assembly hall stage for a special performance.
“Believe in yourself, chase your dreams, and make sure that you have one” was Owen’s message to the students attending his show. After his performance, Owen visited the students in their classrooms, entering to loud cheers and screams.
He signed autographs and let the students crowd around him – but their surprise wasn’t over yet, as Ben Purplle entered the building to give the lucky students another unique performance
The event was organised as part of the school’s carnival day activities, and Ms Mariucca Fenech, the head of school, said she was satisfied with seeing the students have fun together
“We are very pleased to have been able to bring such local talent to our school at a time of the year when children especially express their artistic talent and creativity,” she said.
