Here’s something we didn’t think we’d be writing about today, but such is 2020. Malta’s musical queen Ira Losco is no stranger to photoshoots of all sorts, but nothing could have prepared her for an equestrian experience which was thankfully (for everyone else) caught on camera.
“The calm before the storm,” Losco posted on Instagram earlier this week, sharing two photos from a 2012 shoot with renowned photographer Allen Venables featuring another model and a horse (as you do).
The only difference between the two photos? Well, the horse Losco was posing alongside ended up accidentally stepping on her foot by the second photo.
“I didn’t even know horses could step on people till that day,” Losco told Lovin Malta, looking back on the now-hilarious shot. “The owner had just told me, and said, ‘At least you’re wearing shoes’.”
“I can’t imagine what would’ve happened if he had stepped on me while barefoot,” she continued, trailing off at the thought of a probably much nastier experience.
All in all, though, the whole thing made for a good Instagram story and a hilarious shot… especially, it seems, for Ira’s sister Lisa.
As for everyone else? Well, it looks like this photo from 2012 is a golden 2020 meme template to me.
