Things are heating up ahead of this weekend’s semi-final on the Italian TV music show Amici. One of Emma Muscat’s main rivals, Carmen, was caught launching a fierce attack on Emma while speaking to other Amici contestants.

Carmen said that while she was brave enough to say that Emma is beautiful and sings well, she admitted there are many things she doesn’t like about her. She called Emma a fake in front of camera, playing up to the audience and acting different towards her when the camera is off. 

“She also has things she doesn’t like about me, but when the cameras are on she doesn’t say it. She doesn’t have the courage,” said Carmen. “I don’t care what the other side has to say. But, if there was a problem she should come talk to me when the cameras are rolling, not go behind the scenes and talk to her friends.”

She called on Emma to confront her in the public eye, in front of the camera, and called her a coward for speaking to her only when the microphones and cameras are off.
