Everyone who goes on a Hollywood holiday dreams of bumping into an A-list celebrity, but few are actually called out on the street by one of them.

Yet that’s what happened to young Connor and Mattie – sons of celebrated Maltese chef Marvin Gauci – who were personally greeted by Chris Pratt, renowned for his roles in Jurassic Park, Guardians of the Galaxy and the TV series Parks and Recreation.

As he was driving through Hollywood, Pratt decided to whip out his phone and surprise a group of tourists on a tour bus. He was quickly identified by the tourists, who screamed in delight as the famous actor turned his camera onto two young boys in the front of the bus.

Mattie and Connor shyly tell Pratt where they’re from, to which Pratt responds: “Oh, beautiful. I’ve never been to Malta. Awesome, man. Welcome to Hollywood!”

After Pratt uploaded the video to Instagram, Marvin Gauci – the chef behind top local restaurants Tarragon and Caviar & Bull – revealed the two lucky boys are his own offspring.

“My kids in Chris Pratt’s Instagram. Promoting Malta !!!! Well done boys.????????????????” he said.
