Neil Agius is back with another epic recap of his epic swim, along with a powerful couple of quotes to show just how important this weekend’s feat was for him.
“Every decision I’ve made over the last two years has led me to this moment,” Agius wrote this afternoon, sharing slow-mo black and white clips from the very beginning of his journey last Saturday morning, superimposed with intense shots from his 62-hour swim. “This was the ultimate test that I needed to pass.”

“I sacrificed a lot to pass what felt like the biggest exam of my life; Lara Vella was with me every step of the way,” Agius went on. “Now it’s time to process the last 62 hours and let my body and mind decompress and take it all in.”
“My team and I continue to relive memories from the swim and we’ll be sure to continue to share them all with you,” Agius said, no doubt getting ready to share even more moments from what ended up being an extremely emotional three days which had the whole country following his every stroke.
