Watch: Henry Galea Brings ‘The Substance’ To Life With Creepy Body Horror Makeup
Have you ever dreamed of altering your DNA to unlock a better version of yourself? 🧬
Well, one of Malta’s top TikTokers and renowned costume designers, Henry Galea, is here to give it a shot.
In his latest addition to his long line of body horror costume projects, Henry took inspiration from the critically acclaimed film, The Substance, to become “younger, more beautiful, more perfect.”
The film revolves around an aging actress who relies on a black market drug that leads to the creation of her younger self, evidently causing a chain reaction of horrifying and surreal consequences.
Similarly, in his latest video, Henry sported a cosmetic scar, credited to Sophia Marie Davison, down his spine with creepy black veins spread across his back – pretty on par with what appears in the film (Spoiler alert).
Thankfully, these bodily alterations are just cosmetic and pose no life-threatening danger to Henry, unlike what happens to the characters in the film.
But truthfully, you can’t improve perfection.
