Watch: ‘Jien Inħobbok!’ – Anastacia Speaks Maltese At Summer Lust Concert
Superstar singer-songwriter Anastacia thrilled her audience at last Saturday’s Summer Lust concert in Ħal-Għaxaq by speaking a few words in Maltese. A video shared by Lillian Chetcuti Riolo on Facebook captured the heartwarming moment.
In the video, Anastacia reached out to the audience and asked Lillian, “What could I say to the audience?” After being taught how to say “I love you” in Maltese, the 55-year-old singer turned to the crowd and declared, “jien inħobbok.” The crowd erupted into applause and cheers in response to her efforts.
Following her successful attempt at speaking Maltese, Anastacia light-heartedly joked that she would prefer to sing in English.
