Jon Mallia’s beloved podcast Il-Podcast ta’ Jon has been around for a year now, and a new documentary has been launched to tell the story of its inception and growth.

Directed by Mikiel Camilleri Haber, ‘Mela Tlaqna – L-Ewwel Sena tal-Podcast’  features several unseen clips that show the audience the reality behind the podcast and its creator, Jon.

However, it’s not only his perspective that is being shared, the documentary explores the background and progression of the Podcast itself, along with the stories of the individuals within the team.

It will showcase the diverse characters that make up the production team and give a bit of a background on how they actually got involved with the podcast.

‘Mela Tlaqna’ also takes a deep dive into Jon’s life, detailing some of his darkest moments and burying into his journey leading up to the start of the podcast.

It even includes his venture with Lovin Malta when presenting Kaxxaturi, an aspect of his career that the documentary refers to as key to the birth of the Podcast.

The documentary further includes footage that gives the audience an interesting insight into Jon’s typical episode days.
