Watch: ‘Officially Amazing!’ – Neil Agius Unboxes And Unveils Guinness World Record Certificate For His Superhuman Swim
@neil.agius has kicked 2025 off in the best way possible, unboxing the Guinness World Records certificate which officially confirms him as a world record holder! :raised_hands::skin-tone-4:
A friendly reminder for those still outside the loop: seasoned high-endurance athlete, ocean conservation advocate and former Olympic swimmer Neil Agius broke the world record for the longest non-stop unassisted swim on 23rd September 2024 after swimming all around the Maltese Islands (and then some) for a gruelling total of 142.3 kilometres for three consecutive days.
At last, the day finally arrived where his already distinguished and globally recognised accomplishment has been made official with the awarding of the GWR certificate, and while he admitted to not being one for unboxing videos, Neil was very happy to make this one very special exception.

“Officially amazing,” Agius said in the short clip, barely being able to hide his broad and very proud smile as he teased that 2025 is set to be “big”.
The plaque is an absolute honour and definitely a well-deserve one, but being totally honest, with or without it, the man’s legendary achievements will forever be immortalised in Maltese history.
For more about his record-breaking swim, hear it from the man himself thanks to a Lovin Malta interview last October, conducted days after the insane feat:
Congrats Neil!
