WATCH: One Direction Star Liam Payne Visibly Shook By Emma Muscat’s Incredible Cover Of His New Song
It’s not every day that a singer’s cover version makes it to the original source… especially if that singer is Maltese and the original source is a former member of mega boy band One Direction.
“I want to scream, I think I’m gonna faint,” Maltese starlet Emma Muscat told her followers on Instagram last night. And with good reason too; her cover of One Direction singer Liam Payne’s new song Midnight had just gotten a massive compliment by none other than Liam Payne himself.
The British superstar singer was last night reacting to a compilation of fan covers as part of a series of new web shows and Instagram stories, this time featuring fellow Midnight musician, Alesso.
After a couple of covers, Emma Muscat’s moment finally arrives, with Liam Payne instantly opening his eyes wide, tilting his head and looking visibly shooketh at the young Maltese singer’s raw talent.
“Oooh that was nice!” Payne comments, going on to say, “Wow, everyone’s so good!”

While only on for a brief moment, Emma must’ve surely been over the moon to see the massively popular singer react so positively to her cover with his 18-million-strong Instagram fanbase.
