WATCH: Someone Actually Went And Made A Ceramic Bust Of Carina, So That’s Enough Internet For Today
Carina Camilleri has had a very eventful couple of months. In between being the lowkey star of reality TV show Benjamin and her recent shady exchange with a young Maltese model (not to mention her appearance on our very own Lovin Live), Carina is slowly becoming a household name in Malta. This weekend, a video shared on Facebook propelled her to new heights.
Makeup artist and friend Justin Brincat unveiled a ceramic bust of the undisputed Queen of Shade herself, along with a video detailing the whole process. It’s impressive to see the striking resemblance the bust bears to its real-life counterpart, not just in looks but in plain attitude.
Speaking of resemblances, Carina’s bust also reminds us of one particular notorious fashion critic… Edna Mode from The Incredibles.
In the video shared on Saturday morning, Justin shows some sketches ahead of the bust unveiling, with Carina’s (and Edna’s) signature signature bob and a large pair of pointy 70s shades. The video quickly started making the rounds, and is now sitting on more than 7,500 views.
Minutes after the video appeared on Facebook, Carina herself commented, saying she was very grateful Justin dedicated his time to do this. For Brincat, ceramic work is not just a passion, but also a form of therapy. It seems like more works will follow, with Carina’s bust being the first post in an album showing off Brincat’s ceramic works.
The bust, which Brincat aptly named Madame Camille, will definitely help popularise Malta’s Queen of Shade even further, adding a whole new meaning to stone-cold.
