Claudia Faniello Will Be Representing Malta At the 2017 Eurovision In Ukraine

Claudia Faniello has won this year’s Malta Eurovision Song Contest after a smashing performance at tonight’s stellar show!

Faniello has been one of the nation’s favourites in the run up to tonight’s contest, and was pitched by Lovin Malta readers as one of the top three contestants to win along with fellow performers Janice Mangion and Brooke Borg. Faniello’s performance tonight was charged with emotion and enjoyed a spirited response from the live audience.

Minutes before she was announced as winner, Faniello spoke with Charlene Muscat, one of the presenters of the show, about how she has never given up on her Eurovision dream despite having tried unsuccessfully in former Malta Eurovision contests.

Kevin Borg was the second runner up in the contest with his song Follow, and Janice Mangion was the first runner up with her song Kewkba. Mangion was voted as one of Lovin Malta’s readers’ favourites to win, as was was Brooke Borg, who did not place in the top three finalists.
