Rocks Hanging Dangerously At One Of Malta’s Busiest Beaches Sparks Online Plea

St. Peter’s Pool in Marsaxlokk is a small rocky beach off the beaten track in the South of Malta, but it sees thousands of visitors every summer. Tourists and locals alike descend onto the beach each and every weekend during the warmer seasons, and it’s very easy to see why. It’s even seen the rise of Titi the diving dog, Malta’s latest celebrity pet.

In a photo which was shared on Facebook over the last weekend, however, Maltese photographer Lilian Chetcuti Riolo pointed out some dangerous rocks hanging on the edge of the rocks just above where people lie down and sunbathe. “Tag anyone that can take this rock down before it falls on someone,” Lillian said.

The post has already been shared over a dozen times, and people expressed their dismay, hoping that there wouldn’t be “some sort of tragedy before someone decides to do something about it.”
