eCabs and its sister company FastDrop will be partnering with L-Istrina for their highly-anticipated annual 12-hour telethon dedicated to raising funds for the Malta Community Chest Fund.

The company will be providing 20 vehicles, 20 professional chauffeurs from noon until the yearly telethon closes at midnight, as well as logistic experts.

The cars will cater for the personnel who will be collecting L-Istrina donations from businesses and individuals all across the islands.

A team of eCabs logistics experts will also coordinate with the State’s IT agency MITA to synchronise routes.

“While eCabs has been a long-standing supporter of L-Istrina, the company now considers itself an active partner in the event”, said eCabs CEO Andrew Bezzina.

Bezzina said that the company is “thrilled” to support L-Istrina once again, since “eCabs is a Maltese company set up to serve the Maltese community”.

“We are pleased to be supporting L-Istrina, as well as providing pro bono logistical support for several other charitable initiatives, including migrant respite organisation MOAS, and Fondazzjoni Sebħ which works with women survivors of violence”, said FastDrop CEO Greta Borg.

John Huber, Chairman of the Administrative Board of The Malta Community Chest Fund thanked sister companies eCabs and FastDrop, explaining that it is because of the “collective efforts” of such companies that L-Istrina can be successful.

Huber also encouraged everyone to contribute in whatever way they can to the L-Istrina initiative which has served as a beacon of hope for individuals requiring rare or expensive medical treatment.
