Malta Makes Its Mark On Mount Etna As Young Trio Add Island’s Name To Makeshift Tributes
If you are planning on visiting Sicily’s Mount Etna any time soon, look out for the recently added tribute to little Malta near the volcano’s mouth.
In between the names of other countries scattered across the volcano’s ashy sides – right near Serbia and Kosovo – Malta can be found, with the name shining brightly as the sun reflects of the rocks utilised to make it.
When Matthias Galea, his brother Nicholas Galea and his partner Esther Portelli saw all the other countries names, they just knew they needed to get to work and make sure Malta gets a shout out as well.
“It was such a scenic site that we felt it was a must do to include our country,” Matthias told Lovin Malta, sharing photos from the site, as well as the Maltese themselves.
